Founded in 2018 by LV Thomas and Dawn Brooks, On My Grind emerged from a direct understanding of the challenges justice-involved individuals face. LV brings 33 years of lived experience in the California justice system, paroling in 2015. Dawn Brooks, MSW, co-founded the organization and leads its operations. Together they built OMG to close the gap in support that sends so many people back to incarceration. Our story is one of partnership, persistence, and the belief that everyone deserves a fair chance to rebuild.

OUR VISION
On My Grind Reentry Services Inc. serves justice-involved individuals and residents of historically underserved South Los Angeles communities through trauma-informed workforce development, credible messenger mentorship, and industry-recognized skills training. Our mission is to reduce recidivism, advance economic mobility, and build safer, more resilient communities across Los Angeles County.
We envision a South Los Angeles where a justice system record is not a life sentence to poverty. Our vision is a region where every person returning home has a clear path to work, healing, and stability, and where the communities that carried the heaviest burden of incarceration now lead its repair. We are not waiting on that future. We are building it, one person and one neighborhood at a time.
